Delta was founded on May 30, 1924, and then was called as Huff Daland Dusters and moved to Monroe, Louisiana in 1925 and purchased by Collett E. Woolman, who was one of the original directors in September 1928. Then began its services from 17th June 1929 after renamed the airline as Delta Air Service.
